Today, we pad around the grounds of the villa. Dan & Roger play a few games of chess. They are old chess competitors. In college and for years after, they bet against each other for the overall winner of 100-150 games. Then they'd start over.

We arrive at the restaurant for Steven's Birthday Dinner!
The owners of the restaurant are good friends with the owners of the villa. She calls and makes the arrangements for our dinner tonight, including a special birthday desert that remains a mystery.
Alessandro presents the very special, delicious and gorgeous birthday fruit tart! Wow!
We have loved every minute of our week in the mountains. Very special memories made here :)
