Cortona

After the Palio debacle, we stopped by Cortona on our way back to the farm.  It's a pretty town with some serious hills.  We are talking steep.  

The kids were running up and down some of the steepest streets in the town, for fun. (?)   Really wish we had their energy.

We had a delightful lunch at Trattoria Dardano, which almost made us forget about the failed effort to see the Palio that day.

And then hit the road for the short drive home.

Ahhh, being home feels good.

Dad & the girls made a trip to the grocery store & came back with a huge load (we like when Dad does the shopping).

That evening, we relaxed & made a great platter of snacks

And watched some World Cup
