Cujo

Today is our last full day here at the agriturismo in Montepulciano.  We take that walk down our gravel road to see what's down there.  We've never gone past the farm.

There's our farmhouse over there to the left.

We cut through the vineyards & olive groves to head back home.

This farm was perfect.  Well, almost perfect.  We had a little trouble getting along with one of the residents.

Cute little puppy dog, you say?

Not.

He will try to take your hand off if you try to pet him.  You'd think they'd have communicated this to us upon our arrival.  Uh, no.  We all got snapped at and Avery actually had contact between her pinky and Cujo's tooth.  A tiny amount of blood was drawn  - we were assured he had vaccinations, after I Google Translated the incident and asked.   We were really glad the dog was verrrry, verrrrry slow due to advanced age and excessive Lb's.  He mostly slept (see above) and his highest speed was a waddle.

We never caught the dog's actual name, but he'll always be "Cujo" to us.

We are packing up & heading out tomorrow to meet our dear friends, The Hinich family!  We are all super excited about our week ahead with them :)   We're heading north from the Val d'Orcia to the mountainous region above Lucca - can't wait!
